[sic]When a police died like this, the media and Human Rights Group, and Cause Oriented Groups didn’t bother to shout about it, but when a Demonstrator was hit by the Police by a baton, Human Rights Violation is always the Headline… and the protest of these groups are always Police Brutality, Abuso mga Pulis, Mga Pulis Berdugo atbp….[sic]
Source of Photo: Pulis Pilipino[via]This photo has almost 4k likes and 2k shares on Facebook. There is unanimity in saying that there is a human rights violation. Here’s my unsolicited opinion on this: These men and women enter the PNP to enforce the law, prevent crime and maintain peace and order. Death is part of their job. Tragic? Yes. However, there is no human rights violation. It is a noble thing to die for the country. You cannot file an information of human rights violation for every casualty on their job.
Also, why blame the media for not covering this? This is an era of social networking. In these times, we are part of the media. It’s a shame that in almost 4k likes and 2k shares of this picture, none of them paid respect to this man who died in his service. Everyone is complaining how there is supposed to be a human rights violation (even if there’s none) or how sad that the police are being labeled as buwaya, yet this man remains a nameless man who is bound to be forgotten.
Shouting a battle cry is easy, know why is difficult.
Pseudo-relationship. Pseudo means false. No commitments involved. You should not demand nor expect he/she will be there for you. You aren’t sure about his/her true feelings. You’re uncertain about your role in his/her life. You should not expect too much from him/her. Everything is only for fun. However, at the end of the day, you should bear in mind that pain should be expected anytime.

“I have reservations with the results. If the only basis is the Q and A portion, after having been trimmed down to 5, Ms. Philippines deserved to win. What made her different from the rest is that she had no seconds to rethink of her answer as she had no interpreter to break the ice. The rest had their interpreters and having breaks on seconds to think about their answers. Hands down, Ms. Philippines answered straight to the point.”
