Hey guys, if you’re interested, my organization is hosting a silent film competition. All you have to do is shoot a 3-5 minute video stripped off totally of its audio that reflects your re/interpretation of what is iconic in Philippine Cinema.  

You get a chance to win a brand new Canon camcorder, a scholarship for basic and advanced workshops at the Asia Pacific Film Institute, cash prizes, and more!  Also, on the evening of the awards night ceremony, which will take place at B-Side, The Collective, your film will be scored live by the band of your choice — of which you will collaborate with.

There will also be featured artists whose works will be showcased in a public exhibition at Level 4 of Shangri-La Plaza Mall from February 20-24, 2012 which includes the art pieces of CJ de Silva, Apol Sta. Maria (know Alamat ng Panget?), Manix Abrera (Kikomachine!), Benjie Marasigan, and Tumblr personalities like Shin Lopez, Steph Manuel, Carina Santos, Rob Cham, and Kasey Albano! YOU CAN ACTUALLY BUY PRINTS OF THEIR WORK, TOO!  

Lastly, Ciudad, The Strangeness, Better in Bed, Wilderness, Reese and Vica, Pocket Full Of, The Black Vomits, Sleepwalk Circus, Encounters With a Yeti, Musical O, The Purplechickens, Similar Objects, Ivan Theory, The Walkie Talkies, and Techy Romantics will play live on the awards night as well!
